PIARC (World Road Association), founded in 1909 and comprising 125 member governments from all over the world, is the global forum for exchange of knowledge and experience on roads, road transport policies and practices. With consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, the Association is contributing to a stable and sustainable global development of the road and transport sector.

Caroline Mays, a Career Dedicated to Freight

I currently serve as Vice-Chair of the Association of American State Highway Transportation Official’s (AASHTO) Special Committee on Freight, and I am a member of PIARC’s Technical Committee on Freight (TC 2.3). I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo, and a Master’s degree of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto, Canada.
